Local Artist Blacksmiths Ratho Byres have been awarded top prize in the ‘Galvanizers Association Winner’s Winner’ public vote for their superb South Porch Gates at St Michaels Church, Linlithgow.
Ratho Byres trounced opposition from
- The Eden Project in Cornwall,
- The Pepsi Max Roller Coaster in Blackpool,
- The Imperial War Museum, London &
- Antony Gormley’s Crouching Man in Holland
by attracting more than half the votes cast (no pun intended).
Appropriately the prize was a watering can, galvanized of course, & some sunflower seeds.
